Lives Focused On Jesus

   We want to welcome all of our visitors.  We appreciate so much your coming to visit and worship with us today.  We are honored to have you here at Sunny Slope.  If you have not done so already, please fill out a Visitors Card and leave it on your seat so we have a record of your presence here today.

   Today Ralph Gilmore begins an intense series of lessons on our need to have Jesus in our lives.  Ralph is a long time Gospel preacher and professor with Freed Hardeman University in Henderson, TN.  The series is entitled, “Lives Focused On Jesus.”  It will address different areas of our lives that should be governed by our relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
   There’s never been a time in history when people needed Jesus in their lives more than is the case today.  Evil, perversion, violence and uncertainty prevail.  We need direction, protection, hope and comfort that can only be found in our Savior.  So many are drifting aimlessly through life, unsure of what to do and what the future holds.  We need Jesus as the anchor in our lives.
   The lessons today and this week will focus on The Personal Ministry Of Jesus- what He came to this earth to do; Jesus And His Church- the God-designed relationship the church is supposed to have with Jesus; Jesus And The Family- why we need Jesus in our family life and how His presence can strengthen our families; Jesus And My Salvation- the fact that there is no salvation except through Jesus; Jesus And My Life- my personal relationship with my Lord.
   These are vital lessons to every individual.  You’re looking for direction, purpose, meaning for your life?  Maybe you’ve tried all kinds of things, looking for answers.  A right relationship with Jesus can fill all of those needs like no other relationship can do.
   We encourage you to listen carefully to these studies from scripture.  Think about what is taught, search the scriptures for yourself to see that what you hear is what the Bible really says.  Talk with Ralph, ask any questions that might be on your mind.
   You can receive a free copy of each lesson on CD.  A request form will be on the table in the foyer.  Also, there is a request form in this bulletin for a free Bible study by mail.  You can fill it out and leave it either on your seat or on the table in the foyer.  You can also request a visit from one of our members.
