Exciting New Outreach!

​   Two new outreach efforts have been launched here at Sunny Slope church of Christ.  At the end of January we began podcasting all sermons and our daily radio programs.  People throughout this nation and around the world can hear the word of God being taught everyday, for free!  Anyone can go to our website at www.churchofchrist.com and click on the Subscribe To Our Podcast button and set up their smart phone or computer or both to receive the lessons automatically.  There is no charge.  The potential to reach souls with the gospel by this means is almost unimaginable.

​   In addition, this month we began mailing the monthly publication House To House, Heart To Heart to four zip codes in the near proximity to the church building.  A total of 2802 mailing addresses will receive this publication each month.  This short magazine is professionally produced by the Jacksonville church of Christ in Jacksonville, AL. 
   House To House is filled with excellent teaching articles covering a wide range of subjects relevant to everybody.  All of the articles are based in scripture.  Our name, time of services and contact information will be prominently featured on the front page.  Beginning in May we plan to include an article from Sunny Slope in the publication.
   These two new avenues of outreach for us are truly exciting.  They aggressively expand our efforts reach people where they are and strive to lead lost souls to Christ, both locally and on a more widespread basis.
   How can you personally help in these outreach efforts?  Pray for God to bless them mightily.  Pray for God to guide us in ways to most effectively use them.  Pray for people to be receptive to the teaching made available through these tools.  Pray for souls to be added to God’s Kingdom!
   Be involved in these outreach works.  Promote the podcast by telling people how to enroll, and encourage them to do so.  Promote it continually.  Each month, in addition to the House To House, Heart To Heart magazines being mailed out, we will receive a large quantity of the magazines here at the building.  Pick up several copies and give them to people you know and meet.  Leave them in public places, such as waiting rooms, lobbies, even restaurants.  You are the church, be involved in this work of the church.
   Think of ways we can utilize these outreach materials.  Think of ways we can use them,  Think outside of the box.  What can we do with them?  How can we advertise them?  How can we promote them?  How can we get them before the public in effective ways?  How can we reach people with them?
   This opportunity is truly exciting.  As we reach out in these new ways, let us do so with purpose, with enthusiasm and with the intent of glorifying God…
